From the 10th of September may the public in Borlänge visit an
unique exhibition in the Borlänge library.
It is Owe Söderlund who is displaying some parts of his fantastic collection of cameras. He has during 20 years collected 7 902 pieces, the oldest piece is from 1858.
Inside two glass cases will cameras of different sizes, brands and from different time eras be displayed.
It will be possible for you to follow the history and the development of the cameras all the way from the big cameras of the 18th century to today’s small and compact digital cameras.
The cameras in the glass cases will be displayed according to the following themes:
- Two eyed cameras
- Mirror reflection cameras
- Polaroid cameras
- Box cameras
- Children cameras
- Pocket and mini cameras
- Old cameras
- The first digital cameras
This exhibition will be a permanent exhibition and change after the themes above.
