The Municipal Office is responsible for ensuring that the municipality has a fully-functioning organisation and that common objectives and guidelines steer the activities within the organisation.
The staff of the Municipal Office makes sure that all the different municipal committees achieve their goals and that these goals are high in quality.
The Municipal Office:
develops and follows established goals,
stays up-to-date to meet future municipal needs,
makes sure that funding is divided fairly among the municipality’s various departments and – perhaps the most important task –
to prepare matters for decision-making by the Municipal Executive Committee (kommunstyrelsen). This covers finance, finance planning and follow-ups.
