Welcome to Borlänge Public Library
The library is open to the public.
Library cards are issued to both children and adults free of charge.
You may borrow books for both children and adults, and read newspapers and magazines in many languages.
Swedish language courses or cassettes are available in a number of other languages. We also have books in simple Swedish and audio books on cassette and CD.
The loan period is normally 4 weeks for books and cassettes, and 2 weeks for music CDs. The loan period may however be extended if there is no prior reservation for the book in question.
You may borrow as many books as you like.
A fine will be charged for overdue or damaged books (this rule does not apply to children’s books.)
Books which are already out on loan can be reserved. In many cases it’s possible to order books from other libraries if they are not available in your local library. For this service the library charges a fee of SEK 10 per book.
If the library has not got any books in your language, we can order them from other libraries.
Disabled people can get books and audio books delivered to their homes.
