Borlänge Municipality provides pre-school, family day-care and youth centres for children aged 1-12.
 
For children aged 1-5 there are 33 pre-schools in Borlänge Municipality to choose from, as well as some 70 family day-care centres located throughout the municipality. Most schools have their own youth centres.
 
We also provide a number of special services for children in need of special support: Eken school has such a department, Skräddaren has a department for children allergy-sufferers, while children who need special supervision can attend the night-open Nattviolen pre-school.
 
Care services are sometimes provided by family day-care centres, but availability is more sporadic.
 
Five of these activities are run independently in the form of  parent cooperatives.
