The Community Services Unit is one of the municipality’s nine profit centres. It has kept its existing form since 1 January 2004 and employs some 160 people.
The unit comprise five different units: Labour Market Unit, Leisure & Recreation Unit, Immigration Unit, Youth Unit and Adult Education Unit. All the Community Services Unit’s operations have one thing in common: they focus on the lifelong learning process.
• Labour Market Unit
is responsible for the municipality’s labour market measures and employment schemes such as job creation and job experience programmes.
• Leisure & Recreation Unit
is responsible for the municipality’s various recreational facilities such as indoor and outdoor swimming baths, ski tracks, football pitches. etc
• Immigration Unit
has the overall responsibility for the municipality’s integration work and is in charge of refugee care and the interpreting agency.
• Youth Unit
is responsible for youth centres such as Cozmoz, events and in-the-field youth workers.
• Adult Education Unit
is responsible for the municipality’s adult education programme.
